General Biographical Description: Paul Nyirjesy is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition, he is director of the Drexel Vaginitis Center. Dr Nyirjesy earned his BA in Chemistry magna cum laude at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and his MD at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. After graduating, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. His fellowship in infectious diseases was conducted at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr Nyirjesy has authored or coauthored many articles, abstracts, and monographs concerning chronic vulvovaginal conditions. A fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is also a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and the Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
