Q4:
C. the risk of cervical cancer
Not really. Cervical cancer is associated with human papillomavirus infection (HPV) and not with bacterial infections. However, since HPV is also a sexually-transmitted disease, this patient may either already have it or may acquire it in the future with unprotected sex. If she does have an oncogenic HPV infection of her cervix (usually types 16, or 18), she would have a risk of cervical cancer. She could be screened for this with a Pap smear. What else should you discuss?
