| General Biographical Description: | Dr Wong is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She is the Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Director of the Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program at Northwestern University. Dr Wong is Section Editor for Obstetric Anesthesia for Anesthesia & Analgesia and is on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia and the Obstetric Anesthesia Digest. She is the author of multiple book chapters on obstetric anesthesiology and has lectured worldwide. She has edited several books, including the soon-to-be released 4th edition of Obstetric Anesthesia, Principles and Practice, by David Chestnut. Her research interests revolve around labor analgesia and its effects on the progress of labor and fetal status, epidural labor analgesia, as well as anesthesia for cesarean delivery and postoperative analgesia. |
