    Steps In Gynaecological Examination

    1. General Physical Exam
      • General condition of the patient
      • Weight, Height and BMI
      • Look for anaemia, jaundice and cyanosis
      • Examination of buccal cavity
      • Examine for neck swellings and peripheral lymph nodes and peripheral oedema
    2. Examination of System
      1. Cardiovascular System
        1. Characteristics of pulse
        2. Blood pressure
        3. JVP (if necessary)
        4. Precordial exam (Apex beat, Heart sounds and murmurs)
      2. Respiratory System
        1. Respiratory rate
        2. Breath sounds and any added sounds
      3. Breast Examination
    3. Abdominal Examination
    4. Pelvic Examination
