January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

As January marks Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, GLOWM is proud to contribute to the global conversation on prevention and clinical excellence with the release of a new chapter: HPV-Negative Cervical Cancer in the HPV-Vaccination Era: Pathology Perspective.

Authored by Joshua Jing-Xi Li and Annie Nga-Yin Cheung, this timely publication addresses a critical frontier in gynecological oncology. While widespread vaccination and primary HPV screening have dramatically reduced the incidence of cervical cancer, a small but significant subset of cases remains – those that are HPV-independent. Understanding these rarer, often more aggressive pathological entities is paramount for clinicians who strive toward the elimination of cervical disease.

Launching the new volume on Gynecological Cancer

This chapter is the first to be published in GLOWM’s highly anticipated new volume on Gynecological Cancer, edited by Professors Hextan Ngan and Karen Chan.

This volume marks a significant expansion of The Continuous Textbook of Women’s Medicine, providing an expert-led resource on the diagnosis and management of cancers across the female reproductive system. Readers can look forward to other chapters focused on cervical cancer, including Surgical Aspects, Systemic Treatment and the Role of Radiotherapy.
